Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes Collared Conduct’s training different?

Our approach centers on enrichment, play, and structure, tailoring exercises to each dog’s unique strengths and personality. We focus on building confidence and deepening the bond between you and your dog.

  • How long does a typical training program last?

Programs vary based on your dog’s needs and their progress. We prioritize steady progress and sustainable skills over quick fixes. We can not guarantee a specific time frame, with every dog being different and  not having control of training activity levels with consistency outside of sessions with their owners at home.

  • Can I participate in training sessions with my dog?

Absolutely. Owner involvement is key to reinforcing skills at home. We guide you through techniques so you can confidently support your dog’s growth. We also do just dog- trainer bases sessons. But the owner will need to attend at least the final session to learn how to up keep their dog's progress at home going forward.

  • Do you work with all dog breeds and ages?

Yes, every dog is welcome. Our methods adapt to puppies, adults, and seniors alike, respecting their individual pace and capabilities. We will inform you what your dog needs as well as what can be practically achieved safely and realistically.

  • What should I bring to the first training session?

Bring your dog’s kibble and high value treats, a sturdy leash, a flat collar or martingale, and their favorite tug or toy.

Comfortable clothing for yourself is recommended, as sessions often involve active participation.
